Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the Platform collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. It applies to students, parents, learners and teachers.
Data we collect
- Account details — name, email, timezone, preferred currency and, for teachers, profile information such as headline, bio, subjects, rates and availability.
- Learner details — where a parent adds a child, the information the parent chooses to provide.
- Lesson and booking activity — bookings, lessons, messages, reviews, and progress records such as goals and Hifz tracking.
- Payment metadata — records needed to process payments and payouts. We never store full card numbers; card details are handled by our payment processor.
- Technical data — device and usage information used to keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use your data
- To provide the service: discovery, scheduling, the classroom, messaging and progress tracking.
- To process payments to teachers and refunds to students.
- To keep the Platform safe: verification, fraud prevention, moderation and enforcing our Terms.
- To provide support and send service notifications.
- To comply with legal and accounting obligations.
Messaging and moderation
Messages sent through the Platform are processed to filter contact information and detect abuse. Where a message is redacted or flagged, an original copy may be retained for safety and dispute handling.
Sharing your data
We share personal data only as needed to run the service, for example with our payment processor and the video provider that powers your classroom. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect users.
Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as required afterwards for legal, tax and dispute-resolution purposes, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights through our Contact page.
Children
Children use the Platform through a parent- or guardian-managed account. Parents are responsible for the information they provide about a child and for supervising the child's use.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and sensitive information is encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to authorised staff and administrative actions are audit-logged.
Changes
We may update this policy; the current version always lives on this page.
