Child Safety

Many learners on the Platform are children. Their safety is a priority and this page explains the protections in place and what we expect from everyone.

Parent-managed accounts

Children use the Platform through an account managed by a parent or guardian, who creates and controls each learner profile and is responsible for supervising lessons.

Teacher review

Teachers are reviewed and approved before their profiles go live, and may complete identity and qualification verification shown as badges. We act quickly on any safety concern.

Safer communication

In-platform messaging automatically filters personal contact details, which helps keep interactions on the record and discourages moving conversations to unmonitored channels.

Supervision

We encourage parents to be present or nearby during younger children's lessons and to review who their child is learning with.

Reporting concerns

If you have any concern about a child's safety, report it immediately through our Contact page or the report tools in the app. Safety reports are prioritised, and we cooperate with the appropriate authorities where required.
