Payment Terms

These Payment Terms explain how charges, escrow, currencies and teacher payouts work. They form part of our Terms of Service.

What you are charged

You pay the price shown at the time of booking, in your selected currency. The price includes the Platform commission, which is disclosed to you before you pay.

Payment methods

Payments are processed by our payment provider. Card payments are supported in our card-enabled currencies. Where local payment methods are available in your region, they are shown at checkout.

Currency and conversion

When a teacher prices lessons in a different currency, we convert the price into your currency using a rate that is frozen at checkout, plus a small, clearly disclosed conversion buffer. There are no surprise conversion charges after you book.

Escrow

Your payment is held in escrow and only released to the teacher after the lesson takes place. Movements between your payment, escrow, teacher earnings and Platform commission are recorded in a double-entry ledger.

Wallet

Refunds and referral rewards may be credited to your Platform wallet. Wallet credit is applied automatically toward future bookings.

Teacher earnings and payouts

A teacher's share of a completed lesson clears to their earnings balance after a short holding period. Teachers can request a payout to a verified payout method once they reach the minimum threshold. The Platform commission is deducted transparently and shown in the teacher's records.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.
